Participants will learn why social media is beneficial for their students and how they can facilitate more creative thinking in the classroom. In addition, I will provide information on what defines a good digital citizen, what actions students and other individuals should avoid while utilizing social media, and what techniques were most beneficial for my classmates and me in our student-run, project-based class Innovations for networking with professionals and reviving our fervor for learning. Throughout the session I will ask educators how they utilize social media in the classrooms, their thoughts on pros and cons, and I will answer any questions they have about social media and my social media education mission. I will also have a designated hashtag where they can ask questions throughout the session and I will review and answer them after the session is over.
